About
I am an undergraduate student in my third year of studying cellular and developmental biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I am working towards applying to medical school and am thus very interested in health and wellness. A big part of that for me is looking at illness, what causes it and how to prevent it.
I am particularly fascinated by the way in which our bodies rely so heavily on microorganisms to function and yet can be so negatively effected by a subset of them.
As a university student, I experience life with roommates and am therefore continuously exposed to a variety of unique lifestyles and habits, some good and some...iffy?
I am here to explore which of your roommate's living habits are worth accepting and which may be getting everyone else in the house sick by digging into the tiny alien world of microorganisms.
If you are completely new to the field of microbiology, I encourage you to check out the background page!
